Welcome Message From the Principal

Jonathan Mach - Principal

Welcome to John Muir Elementary, home of the Cupertino Language Immersion Program (CLIP). For more than 25 years, our program has nurtured students who become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural learners—young thinkers who lead with curiosity, embrace diverse perspectives, and are committed to making a positive impact in our school, our community, and the world.

A tremendous part of our students' success is made possible through the generosity and dedication of our parent community. The countless hours our families volunteer in classrooms, support school events, and partner with our staff help create the rich learning experiences that make John Muir such a special place. In addition, our outstanding Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) enhances our students' academic and cultural experiences through meaningful programs, events, and opportunities that enrich school life. Whether you are volunteering in a classroom, helping at an event, or supporting behind the scenes, your partnership plays an invaluable role in our community.

I look forward to meeting each of you in the weeks ahead as we work together to provide the very best opportunities for our students and continue building the vibrant, welcoming, and supportive community that makes John Muir so special. Together, we can ensure that every child feels known, challenged, and inspired to grow.

As always, please remember to be safe, be respectful, be responsible, and be kind to one another.
